Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS)

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has acknowledged that some vaccines can cause adverse reactions, including Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) from the common flu vaccine. GBS is a disorder where the patient’s immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system.

Symptoms can begin anywhere from one day to several weeks after the vaccination. The first symptom is often weakness and tingling in the legs and arms. These symptoms can spread throughout the body and cause severe muscle weakness and excruciating pain. Patients are often put on a ventilator to breathe, and experience extreme difficulty with any movement, including walking. Even after the most severe symptoms improve, individuals are often left with permanent residuals, including weakness and tingling in their extremities.

If you or a family member has been diagnosed with GBS after receiving a vaccine, you may be eligible for a settlement from The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. At JPI, we understand how the law protects our clients, and our knowledge and vast experience with GBS and other vaccine injury claims allow us to help you get the full compensation you deserve. JPI will cover all the costs of filing your claim and gathering your medical records while expertly achieving the settlement to which you are entitled. The legal experts at JPI treat each client with compassion and respect, making sure that every individual is fully represented. The simple truth is that when healthcare professionals have unjustly compromised your health, the law works for you.
